So, I’m Jess! A Wedding Photographer based in the UK.
After a long career in law and years spent photographing every family occasion (even Pancake Day); it was my sister’s wedding in 2013 that truly shifted everything. I realised it wasn’t just actually taking photographs I loved, but the ability to tell a story through imagery, preserving emotion and feeling in a single frame.
I’ve had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember! While I’ve been photographing weddings professionally for a decade, my love for photography started much earlier.
I still have many childhood photo albums filled with snapshots of cuddly toys, unfortunate close-ups of family members and various farm animals.
I’m very relaxed and work in a way that feels natural and unintrusive; blending seamlessly among your guests, allowing moments to unfold effortlessly while documenting the atmosphere, connection, and emotion of your day.
When needed, I offer gentle, reassuring guidance to help you feel at ease and to create imagery that feels both beautiful and true to you.
With years of experience photographing weddings, I bring a deep understanding of how a day flows; from the quiet moments to the more energetic celebrations and how to guide you in a way that feels relaxed and natural, while ensuring every detail is captured with care.
I’m always happy to share trusted recommendations for exceptional suppliers, and to support you in refining the finer details of your day, from timelines to logistics, helping everything come together seamlessly.
A bit more about me:
I’ve been shooting weddings for over a decade & have shot at least 250 weddings all over the UK and abroad from The Isle of Skye to London and Italy.
I’ve always loved photography (I still have albums full of photos I took when I got my first camera when I was little) and gradually upgraded my cameras and started shooting family weddings and events and before you know it, I had a portfolio and here we are!
I am literally obsessed with dogs. I have an Australian Shepherd called Barney who makes me cry regularly with his cuteness.
I love to travel and especially to the USA. My life goal is to visit all 50 states and I’m on 23 so far! (my favourite state is California and Vogue online featured a photograph of mine of a desert road).
I love a good deadpan US comedy. My favourites being The Office, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Arrested Developement.
I love travel in general and am slowly trying to tick off as much of the World as possible. Italy is my second favourite country to USA.
I love live music and will happily to travel anywhere to see one of my favourite bands (I went to Texas for a long weekend twice to see Dorothy and Larkin Poe).
I live by the sea and absolutely adore the ocean.
I love trying new things and always have a new hobby but just a few include writing, weaving, surfing, paddle boarding, silversmithing & hiking.
